Kintor Pharmaceutical Limited (Kintor Pharma) announced that data from two studies of its in-house topical androgen receptor inhibitor KX-826 were unveiled at the 14th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR 2026) in Seoul, held from 28 to 31 May 2026.
The headline presentation covered the final analysis of a China phase III trial evaluating KX-826 1.0 % tincture in adult males with androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Led by Professor Cheng Zhou of Peking University People’s Hospital, the study demonstrated “excellent efficacy and safety” and was selected as an Outstanding Poster by the conference’s scientific committee.
Separately, Professor Leiwei Jiang’s team presented real-world observational data on KX-826 used in combination with topical minoxidil in male AGA patients. The results provide a clinical rationale for a planned phase III trial assessing the combination regimen.
Management stated that the marketing authorization application for KX-826 is moving forward. If approved, KX-826 is positioned to become the first new topical therapeutic class for AGA in roughly 40 years, potentially shifting a treatment landscape long dominated by minoxidil and finasteride.
In line with Rule 18A.08(3) of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, the company cautioned that—apart from its existing 826 topical anti-hair-loss solution and acne cream—there is no guarantee other KX-826 products will reach the market. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
