On April 1, the ro-ro vessel "Guijiangkou" departed from the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port bound for South Africa, carrying 1,270 vehicles manufactured in Fujian. This marked the first vehicle carrier to set sail from the port in the second quarter, indicating continued strong growth momentum in the area's automotive export business. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, the Jiangyin Port Area exported 16,397 complete vehicles in the first quarter, setting a new record high for the same period in previous years.

A project manager from China Fuzhou Ocean Shipping Agency noted that while 20 ro-ro voyages were completed last year, exporting 19,600 vehicles, the first quarter of this year alone saw 12 voyages with exports exceeding 16,000 units. As Fujian's industrial clusters and port channels deepen their coordination, the international competitiveness of vehicles made in Fujian continues to strengthen. Currently, the Jiangyin Port Area operates an average of three to four ro-ro vessels per month.

To support the port in increasing total vehicle exports, customs authorities have adopted various methods, including on-site visits and meetings, to accurately assess export plans and monitor the entire logistics and customs clearance chain in real time. They also guide enterprises in maximizing policy benefits and reducing logistics costs, while assisting with documentation and logistics coordination for vehicle exports.

As the local management service agency, the Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone Management Committee is focused on high-quality development goals. By collaborating with port authorities and implementing measures such as "direct loading upon arrival" and advance declarations, they ensure zero delays in the inspection and release of exported vehicles. In partnership with units like the Fuzhou Port Development Center and Fuhai Container, they have introduced an innovative "arrival at station equals arrival at port" operation model for commercial vehicles. This enables seamless integration from rail transport to port areas and loading onto vessels, providing more efficient and stable logistics solutions that significantly reduce costs and burdens for businesses.

The management committee leverages port advantages to meet the needs of vehicle exporters, enhancing its one-stop service mechanism to address bottlenecks in export processes. It offers efficient and convenient customs clearance, storage, and transportation services for automakers. By coordinating with customs, border inspection, and other departments, the committee ensures that policy benefits directly reach enterprises, helping establish the Jiangyin Port Area as a "golden corridor" for vehicle exports and supporting domestic automakers in expanding globally.

The Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port is a key hub for vehicle exports in southeastern China. It features nine all-weather container berths adaptable to various global ro-ro vessel types and a nearly 500,000-square-meter vehicle storage yard that provides ample space and security for vehicle turnover. A 2,300-mu railway yard located less than two kilometers from the port enables smooth port-station-ground coordination. The port's vehicle handling efficiency ranks among the highest nationwide, averaging 210 vehicles per hour and peaking at 277 vehicles per hour. It offers a comprehensive service chain covering vehicle reception, inspection, preparation, storage management, and loading, providing robust support for complete vehicle exports.

To date, the Jiangyin Port Area has attracted several automotive brands, including BYD, Chery, and SAIC, to export their products from the facility. Export destinations span 19 countries across Europe, America, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America, marking the port's entry into a phase of scaled and regularized vehicle export operations.
