Alphabet's consolidated operating profit rose by 30% year-over-year, with the operating margin expanding by 2 percentage points to 34%.
Other income recorded a net gain of $98.0 billion, primarily from unrealized net gains on the company's equity securities.
Net income attributable to common stockholders increased by 298% year-over-year, with earnings per share rising 294% to $9.11.
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai stated, "Our investments in artificial intelligence are reshaping development boundaries across all our businesses."
He added, "Our second-quarter performance was outstanding, with Alphabet's overall revenue growing 24% and Google Cloud accelerating to 82% growth, driven by strong market demand for AI infrastructure and AI solutions. It is particularly encouraging to see the widespread adoption of Gemini Enterprise, which is now in use at nearly 90% of the Fortune Global 100 companies."
The company noted that growth momentum is strong across all its businesses. Popular AI features are driving continued increases in search query volume. The Gemini models can process 220 billion application programming interface tokens per minute, and Gemini apps have reached 950 million monthly active users. Demand for the company's security solutions is robust, with the new Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber product offering cutting-edge performance at a compelling price point. On a monthly basis, users continue to watch major global sporting events on YouTube, with videos related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup attracting over 1.7 billion unique viewers.
