Zhongyuan Oilfield Gas Storage Cluster Supplies Over 100 Million Cubic Meters This Winter

Deep News12-20

As natural gas supply enters a critical phase, the Zhongyuan Oilfield Gas Storage Cluster—the largest underground gas storage facility in North China—has delivered over 100 million cubic meters of natural gas this winter heating season as of December 18.

A key component of China's natural gas peak-shaving system, the Zhongyuan Oilfield operates five storage facilities in North China with a total capacity exceeding 3.196 billion cubic meters.

Since December, the cluster has entered its extraction phase, steadily supplying high-pressure gas stored underground through pipeline networks. During peak periods, daily extraction reaches 6.5 million cubic meters.

Liu Tieying, Deputy Director of the Production Command Center at Zhongyuan Oilfield Gas Storage Management, stated, "With demand at its peak, our team is working around the clock, intensifying inspections and closely monitoring equipment to ensure stable gas supply for residents in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Xiongan New Area."
