The CSOP SK hynix Daily Leveraged 2x Product (07709) widened its afternoon losses, dropping 7.92% to HK$39.54 as of press time, with a turnover of HK$2.298 billion.
On the news front, according to South Korean media reports, Samsung has proposed a 2027 HBM4 supply price of US$4 per Gb to major customers, more than triple the current HBM3E price of approximately US$1.50. Samsung aims to leverage the performance advantages of the next-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4 to command higher prices and challenge the market landscape currently dominated by SK hynix.
It is worth noting that SK hynix reiterated last Thursday that it has not made any decision regarding the future financing needs of its U.S. subsidiary Solidigm, despite media reports suggesting the company may pursue a dual listing. Analysts pointed out that an IPO could help unlock Solidigm's value and raise funds for expansion, but it may also dilute the interests of the parent company SK hynix's shareholders in its future earnings, leading to fluctuations in its valuation. It could also raise market concerns about the complex equity structure of the SK Group.
