The National Bureau of Statistics recently published data on per capita disposable income for 31 provinces and regions during the first three quarters of 2026. Among them, Ningxia's per capita disposable income for the first three quarters stood at 26,202 yuan.

Disposable income refers to the income that residents can freely use, representing the total sum available for final consumption expenditure and savings. It includes both cash income and in-kind income. Based on income sources, disposable income consists of four components: wage income, net operating income, net property income, and net transfer income. Per capita disposable income is the average obtained by dividing total disposable income by the number of permanent residents. This indicator can be used to measure residents' living standards and purchasing power, providing an important reference for formulating policies that safeguard and improve people's livelihoods.

In the first three quarters, the national per capita disposable income was 34,230 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.3% compared with the same period last year, or a real increase of 4.4% after deducting price factors. By urban-rural breakdown, urban residents' per capita disposable income was 44,945 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.5% year-on-year, or a real increase of 3.6% after deducting price factors; rural residents' per capita disposable income was 18,809 yuan, a nominal increase of 6.3% year-on-year, or a real increase of 5.6% after deducting price factors.

By province, in the first three quarters, 12 provinces had per capita disposable income exceeding 30,000 yuan, with Shanghai and Beijing both surpassing 70,000 yuan. Specifically, Shanghai's per capita disposable income for all residents in the first three quarters was 72,175 yuan, ranking first; Beijing's per capita disposable income for all residents was 70,405 yuan, ranking second; Zhejiang ranked third at 57,593 yuan.
