According to Zhitong Finance APP, HKEX (ASX: 00388) Chief Executive Officer Bonnie Chan stated at the Global Youth Power Summit that investors are currently paying significant attention to sectors such as technology and AI, with IPO demand in these related sectors being very strong. She noted that the proportion of tech stocks in HKEX's average daily turnover has grown from approximately 20% a few years ago to about 43% at present, aligning with global investment trends.

Bonnie Chan mentioned that the group has been continuously reforming the market and maintaining its competitiveness. Citing Chapter 18C of the Main Board Listing Rules as an example, she pointed out that the group is capable of formulating chapters that meet the specific needs of different types of companies.

Regarding some investors' observations that the US market is beginning to appear overly concentrated in the AI sector, Bonnie Chan believes that the fundamental function of capital markets is to match capital with opportunities. She expressed the hope of making the market inclusive, and stated that the group is focused on ensuring that while it welcomes all technology and AI enterprises, it will not do so at the expense of other industries or companies with smaller market capitalizations.
