The State Administration for Market Regulation has publicly disclosed a list of business entities that have been included in the serious illegal and untrustworthy list due to violations such as producing non-compliant products, which infringe upon consumer rights. This action aims to deter unlawful activities that harm consumers through public exposure, protect consumer rights, and foster a sound market order.

1. The Market Supervision Administration of Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, has added Guangdong YiWang Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. and Guangdong LiXin Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. to the serious illegal and untrustworthy list for manufacturing non-compliant electrical products with "3C" certification. Since 2020, as authorized manufacturers of the "Triangle Brand," these companies have repeatedly produced induction cookers and electric kettles that failed quality inspections. Their products did not meet mandatory certification standards for critical safety indicators related to protection against access to live parts, power connections and external cords, and grounding measures, posing significant safety risks. Despite repeated administrative penalties and corrective measures requested by market regulators, the companies failed to implement effective improvements, demonstrating persistent violations and disregard for penalties, severely infringing upon consumer rights. In May 2025, the Meizhou Market Supervision Administration imposed severe penalties in accordance with the Product Quality Law and the Certification and Accreditation Regulations, and included the entities in the serious illegal and untrustworthy list under relevant provisions of the Market Supervision Administration Serious Illegal and Untrustworthy List Management Measures.

2. The Market Supervision Administration of Hexi District, Tianjin, has included Tianjin JiaXiLai Pizza Catering Co., Ltd. in the serious illegal and untrustworthy list for using expired food ingredients. Following reports, an on-site inspection revealed that the company intentionally purchased expired frozen bacon, chicken, cheese strips, and shredded cheese as raw materials for food production, failing to maintain food purchase inspection records in violation of the Food Safety Law. In October 2024, the Hexi District Market Supervision Administration imposed severe penalties, confiscated the expired food items, issued fines, and revoked the company's food business license. The company demonstrated weak legal awareness and deliberately used expired ingredients, seriously harming consumer rights. The administration also restricted the responsible persons from engaging in production and business activities and certain professions for five years, and included the entity in the serious illegal and untrustworthy list under the relevant provisions of the Management Measures.

3. The Market Supervision Administration of Yicheng City, Xiangyang, Hubei Province, has added XiaoBai TongXue (Xiangyang) Agricultural and Sideline Products Co., Ltd. to the serious illegal and untrustworthy list for infringing upon consumer rights. In May 2025, based on public complaints, an investigation found that the company, operating a sweet potato sales store on Douyin Mall, repeatedly harassed consumers by phone to demand refunds and delete negative reviews. The company paid service fees to a third party to induce false return operations, thereby removing unfavorable reviews and boosting ratings. This conduct constituted deceptive sales practices through fake reviews or hiring others for misleading inducements. The Yicheng Market Supervision Administration confiscated illegal gains, imposed a fine five times the illicit income, and ordered a business suspension for rectification under the Consumer Rights Protection Law and the Measures for Penalizing Infringements of Consumer Rights. The company's intentional use of false returns to delete negative reviews misled potential consumers, undermined fair competition in online transactions, and violated consumers' rights to information and choice. The administration included the entity in the serious illegal and untrustworthy list under the relevant provisions of the Management Measures.
