Following the release of SpaceX's prospectus, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives and his team have issued a research report predicting that SpaceX and Tesla will merge in 2027. Ives highlighted that Tesla currently holds shares in SpaceX, and the jointly operated Terafab factory further deepens the operational ties between the two companies. Ives wrote, "Elon Musk aims to gain greater dominance in the AI ecosystem, and the ultimate goal may be to merge SpaceX and Tesla in some form, thereby establishing a connection between these two disruptive tech giants that aspire to lead the AI revolution." SpaceX also stated in its prospectus that the two companies have "laid the initial groundwork for a strong and constructive partnership through a series of limited yet notably successful commercial collaborations."
