In the first 10 months of 2024, Tianjin's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) enterprises achieved an import-export value of 274.86 billion yuan, marking a 15% year-on-year increase. This accounts for 39.6% of the total import-export value of enterprises in Tianjin.
AEO certification represents the highest level of enterprise credit in China's customs system. Domestically, AEO enterprises enjoy priority processing, reduced inspection frequency, optimized services, and 49 additional incentives from government agencies. Internationally, mutual recognition agreements with other countries allow these enterprises to benefit from streamlined customs procedures, lowering cross-border regulatory costs and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
Recently, Tianjin Lvneng Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. obtained its AEO certification. General Manager Chen Zhen stated, "As an AEO enterprise, our export clearance will be more efficient, reducing costs significantly. We are confident in securing more export orders. Our first shipment post-certification involves 50 containers—a substantial increase from previous volumes."
The company specializes in photovoltaic bracket manufacturing. Earlier this year, after expressing interest in AEO certification, it received tailored guidance from Jinghai Customs and Dongli Customs Certification Center, undergoing systematic evaluations in internal controls and trade security to meet certification requirements.
To help more foreign trade enterprises in Tianjin leverage AEO benefits, Tianjin Customs has aligned with local industrial strategies, establishing a targeted cultivation program for high-potential enterprises, including those in advanced manufacturing and specialized sectors. Through one-on-one credit mentoring, periodic assessments, and policy updates, the initiative aims to enhance corporate credit management and facilitate international market expansion.
