Lanzhou City Chengguan District Invites Public Suggestions for Naming Three Roads

Deep News10-17

Lanzhou's Chengguan District recently announced the second phase of public naming for three roads, including B460#, as part of its efforts to gather input from the community, according to reports. This initiative is sanctioned by the local civil affairs bureau and encourages participation from individuals across various sectors.

The naming process adheres to five main principles: the names should reflect the historical heritage, cultural traditions, local customs, geographic characteristics, and contemporary development of Chengguan District; they should be innovative, concise, easy to read and remember, contain standard language, and carry positive meanings without obscure characters or inappropriate homophones; names must not duplicate existing street names in the area; the use of corporate or trademark names for streets is prohibited; and there is no limit to the number of submissions, but a brief explanation of the suggested name is required.

The three proposed roads each have distinct characteristics: - B460# Planning Road runs east-west in the Jiuzhou area, connecting Jiuzhou Middle Road in the east to Dongtai Road in the west, with a total length of 200 meters and a width of 15 meters; - S631-2# Planning Road also runs east-west and is situated in the Yantian area, stretching from Yanlin Road in the east to Yanyuan Road in the west, with a total length of 459 meters and a width of 15 meters; - The access road to Evergrande Phase III in the Dasha Ping area extends eastward from the entrance of the Evergrande branch of Lanzhou No. 19 Middle School to Wuyi Shanxi Road (west side of Evergrande Oasis Phase II), with a total length of 1400 meters and widths ranging from 8 to 20 meters.

Interested participants can submit their suggestions by October 22 through three methods: by calling 0931-8864129 (contact: Zhang He); by sending an email to 709089661@qq.com; or by mailing a letter to the Chengguan District Civil Affairs Bureau, Office 1512, 127 Heping New Village, Lanzhou City (the envelope must be marked “Road Naming Suggestions”).
