China Resources Land Proposes Deloitte to Succeed KPMG as Independent Auditor

Bulletin Express05-11 22:43

China Resources Land Limited announced a planned change of independent auditor aimed at reinforcing corporate governance and auditor independence.

KPMG, which has served since June 2023, will retire upon the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for 9 June 2026. The Board, after review with the Audit Committee, has resolved not to seek KPMG’s re-appointment.

Subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu is recommended to assume the role of independent auditor. The Audit Committee’s assessment covered Deloitte’s audit proposal and fees, experience with Hong Kong-listed companies, technical competence, independence, market reputation, resource capacity, and alignment with the Hong Kong Accounting and Financial Reporting Council’s “Guidelines for Effective Audit Committees.”

The Board expressed gratitude to KPMG for its professional services and confirmed no matters other than those disclosed require attention from shareholders or creditors regarding the auditor’s retirement.
