US stocks dropped on Monday as COVID-19 flare ups in China added to concerns about slowing growth. Concerns about the growth outlook in the US as the Federal Reserve vows to be persistent to fight inflation also continue to weigh on investors.
The Nasdaq index fell more than 1% in morning trading. Big tech stocks dropped with Tesla down 5%, Amazon down 3%, Apple and Meta Platforms down 2%.
