Jiangxi Copper's stock soared 5.10% during intraday trading on Wednesday, driven by the company's impressive first-quarter 2026 earnings report showing substantial profit growth.
The copper miner reported a 44% year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders, reaching RMB 2.818 billion for the first quarter. Revenue also jumped 25% to RMB 139.124 billion, while operating cash flow surged dramatically by 888.28% to RMB 5.508 billion.
Company management attributed the robust performance to strengthened operational management, improved resource utilization efficiency, and higher prices for its core products. The strong earnings report has reinforced investor confidence in the company's growth prospects amid favorable market conditions for copper producers.
