Ministry of Commerce Expresses Commitment to Enhancing Agricultural Trade Quality with Brazil

The Ministry of Commerce has responded to inquiries regarding agricultural trade cooperation between China and Brazil during a regular press briefing.

Spokesperson He Yongqian stated that on June 1st, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with visiting Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. Discussions centered on bilateral economic and trade relations and cooperation within multilateral frameworks.

Brazil is China's largest source of imports for soybeans and beef. Since the beginning of this year, China's imports of soybeans and beef from Brazil have shown rapid growth.

China is willing to maintain communication with Brazil on relevant matters to jointly promote the high-quality development of bilateral agricultural product trade.
