CITIC Bank held its third-quarter 2026 earnings briefing today.

A department head at the bank stated that CITIC Bank (ASX: 601998) completed the on-site review of its advanced capital measurement approach in the third quarter. The bank is now working to obtain review opinions from the National Financial Regulatory Administration as quickly as possible, and overall progress is in line with expectations.

The official noted that implementing the advanced approach will bring positive effects to CITIC Bank. Taking the rollout of the advanced capital measurement approach as an opportunity, the bank will accelerate the upgrading of its risk control system and capabilities, fully benchmark against regulatory requirements and leading industry practices, and continuously strengthen its risk management framework across areas including organization, policy, processes, culture, and technology, so that its risk management capabilities keep improving.

At the same time, CITIC Bank will continue to deepen the application of the advanced approach in daily operations and management, foster a bank-wide mindset of capital discipline, and step up its transition toward a more capital-light model.
