PONY-W (02026) rose more than 4%, with the stock up 4.29% to HK$89.95 at the time of writing. The trading volume was HK$20.05 million. The increase follows the company's announcement on April 20 that it has commenced driverless Robotaxi testing in Dubai. This development marks a key milestone in PONY-W's expansion into the Dubai market, representing a significant breakthrough in its Middle East strategy. It also deepens the collaboration with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to jointly accelerate the development of the city's smart mobility ecosystem. According to the plan, PONY-W expects to launch a public, commercial Robotaxi service in Dubai in the second half of 2026, with a fleet size expected to reach hundreds of vehicles. Since establishing a presence in Dubai, the company has maintained close cooperation with the RTA, actively promoting the testing and deployment of autonomous driving technology locally and supporting the implementation of Dubai's "Smart City 2030 Vision." This vision aims for 25% of all trips in the city to be via autonomous transport modes by 2030. As early as September 2025, the company received permission from the RTA to conduct autonomous vehicle testing on public roads. Since then, it has continuously expanded the testing scope, gaining valuable experience in diverse traffic scenarios and laying a solid foundation for the future full-scale deployment of completely driverless operations.
