Jiang'an Branch of Rugao Market Supervision Bureau Implements Three Measures to Strengthen Gas Appliance Safety

Deep News2025-12-18

The Jiang'an branch of Rugao Market Supervision Bureau in Jiangsu Province has launched a specialized campaign to enhance the quality and safety of gas appliances and accessories, aiming to tighten safety controls at the source and safeguard households.

**Systematic Investigation to Strengthen Regulatory Foundation** The branch conducted thorough inspections of sales outlets for gas appliances and accessories within its jurisdiction, focusing on hardware stores, department stores, and specialty shops. A total of 23 businesses were inspected. Newly added sales units underwent detailed verification, with regulatory lists updated accordingly to ensure comprehensive coverage and lay a solid groundwork for targeted rectification.

**Focus on Key Areas with Strict Enforcement** Inspectors rigorously checked whether gas stoves on sale were equipped with mandatory flame failure devices and certified under the CCC (CCC Intelligent Solutions Holdings Inc.) standards. They also verified if sales units adhered to documentation and quality inspection protocols, and whether non-compliant pressure regulators were being sold. During the inspections, one case involving the sale of substandard liquefied petroleum gas regulators was uncovered. The involved products were removed from shelves and sealed to prevent potential hazards from entering the market.

**Education and Accountability to Reinforce Responsibility** The branch combined enforcement with awareness efforts, educating business operators on the importance of product safety and urging strict compliance with quality control measures. A collective meeting was organized to explain the "Product Quality Law" and relevant national standards for household gas appliances, enhancing operators' safety awareness and risk prevention capabilities.
