MicroPort Scientific Corporation (MicroPort) has announced the formation of a Global Executive Committee as part of its strategy to strengthen worldwide coordination and execution.
The committee will comprise six senior executives: • Jonathan W. Chen – Rotating Chief Executive Officer (starting 1 April 2026, with annual rotation based on performance) • Hongbin Sun – Chief Financial Officer • Dr. Brian Yale Chang – Chief Medical Officer • Benoit Clinchamps – Chief Overseas Operating Officer • Guoming Chen – Senior Vice President, Project Investment Management and Science & Technology Development • Qing Hui – First Vice President, Organizational Ability
According to the board, the new structure is designed to boost strategic execution, resource synergies and management efficiency across MicroPort’s expanding global operations.
Concurrently, effective 1 April 2026, Chairman and Executive Director Dr. Zhaohua Chang will relinquish the role of Chief Executive Officer. He will continue as Chairman of the Global Operation Steering Committee and Chief Scientific Officer, concentrating on overall strategic planning, industrial ecosystem development and technological innovation.
The board stated that these changes are in the best interests of the company and its shareholders and confirmed that Dr. Chang has no disagreements with the board regarding his revised duties.
The announcement was issued in Shanghai on 31 March 2026. MicroPort’s current board comprises one executive director (Dr. Zhaohua Chang), three non-executive directors (Dr. Feng Gu, Dr. Qingbing Men and Weiqin Sun) and three independent non-executive directors (Jonathan H. Chou, Dr. Guoen Liu and Chunyang Shao).
