Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2025 undergraduate program registration and approval for regular higher education institutions. Dezhou University has received approval for all nine programs it applied for. These include five emerging programs: New Energy Vehicle Engineering, New Energy Materials and Devices, Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated Systems, Robotics Engineering, and Synthetic Biology; two urgently needed programs: Rehabilitation Therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics; as well as Sports Training and Materials Science and Engineering.

The New Energy Vehicle Engineering program is an interdisciplinary frontier program under the new engineering education framework. It deeply integrates technologies across the entire chain, including electric drive, intelligent connectivity, power batteries, charging and swapping, and vehicle-grid coordination, building a three-dimensional talent cultivation system focused on "electrification + intelligence + connectivity."

The New Energy Materials and Devices program actively responds to the national green energy strategy, addressing the needs of the "dual carbon" goals and the development of strategic emerging new energy industries.

The approval of the Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated Systems program signifies a solid step for the university in aligning with Shandong Province's "Top Ten Industries" and deeply integrating into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The Robotics Engineering program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program established in line with the "new engineering" concept, leveraging the demands of Shandong's intelligent equipment industry and Dezhou's strategic location as a bridgehead for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development.

The establishment of the Synthetic Biology program is an important initiative by Dezhou University to align with national strategic emerging industries and promote interdisciplinary integration.

The Rehabilitation Therapy program is the university's first key construction program in medical technology. It actively addresses the significant societal needs arising from population aging and the shortage of rehabilitation medical resources.

As the first Traditional Chinese Medicine program within the medical discipline at Dezhou University, the approval of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics program marks a key step in serving the Healthy China strategy and improving the disciplinary layout across the entire industrial chain of chemical synthetic drugs, biotechnology drugs, and modern traditional Chinese medicine.

The approval of the Sports Training program represents a new step for the university in serving national strategies such as Building a Leading Sports Nation and Healthy China, and in strengthening the regional sports talent cultivation system.

The Materials Science and Engineering program actively responds to the national strategy for new materials industry development, closely aligning with Shandong Province's major project for transforming old and new growth drivers.

In recent years, Dezhou University has continuously optimized and adjusted its program structure. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, a total of 18 programs have been added or discontinued. The addition of these nine undergraduate programs is a significant move by the university to serve national strategies and regional industrial needs, deeply implement program construction and development plans, continuously promote dynamic program adaptation, accelerate applied transformation, coordinate the integrated development of education, technology, and talent, and enhance its independent talent cultivation capacity based on its own positioning and strengths.

Dezhou University will further intensify efforts to optimize and adjust its program structure, strengthen the integration of arts and sciences, and gradually phase out programs that do not align with the university's development定位 or societal needs. Taking the construction of new programs as an opportunity, the university will deepen industry-education integration, jointly establish training bases, develop curriculum systems, and cultivate teaching staff with leading industry enterprises, striving to培养 a group of high-quality applied talents suited to industrial development. This will provide solid talent support and intellectual保障 for the high-quality economic and social development of the region.
