Industrial and Commercial Bank of China's Handan Branch Builds a New "Smart Dining" Ecosystem

In recent years, the Handan Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has deeply implemented the principle of serving the public through finance, actively advancing digital finance initiatives with a focus on dining scenarios closely related to people's livelihoods. It has vigorously promoted the development of key ecosystem scenarios such as "smart dining." Leveraging the parent bank’s digital and intelligent financial products, which are known for their high coverage, low cost, and ease of use, the branch regards building a smart scenario ecosystem as a crucial method to serve the real economy and meet customer needs. By empowering merchants with intelligent operations, self-service payment systems, and refined management, it strives to create a new "smart dining" service model with local characteristics, fulfilling its social responsibility of supporting the real economy through concrete actions. In practice, the branch has adopted a core strategy of "technology empowerment + precision services," exemplified by the "smart dining" ecosystem project tailored to Handan’s distinctive cultural and tourism features. To address merchants' needs for time efficiency, high equipment standards, and system stability, a dedicated team was formed to conduct in-depth research into operational challenges and transformation requirements. Customized cooperation plans covering solution design, technical evaluation, implementation, and maintenance were developed. For merchants with high customer flow and demanding meal preparation requirements, the branch emphasized systems capable of rapid order processing and real-time cloud printing integration to enhance efficiency. For leisure and social dining establishments, it highlighted table management and synchronized ordering via QR code scanning to help increase table turnover rates. At critical stages of project implementation, the branch assigned specialists to provide full support for installation, training, and setup, earning high recognition from merchants for its professional expertise and quality service. By the end of February 2026, the project had successfully been implemented in 13 dining establishments along Handan Road, significantly improving order efficiency and service experience while effectively alleviating operational pressures on merchants. Looking ahead, the Handan Branch will continue to focus on smart product series, deepen integrated multi-scenario development, and explore richer service models based on a comprehensive smart ecosystem. It remains committed to providing local merchants with efficient and convenient financial technology support, upholding its social responsibility as a major state-owned bank to serve the local economy and promote industrial upgrading.
