The 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit kicked off on November 2, where Hygon Information Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Hygon") unveiled the first CPU in its "Hygon 1000" series designed for industrial control scenarios, and the product was successfully selected as one of the top 10 debut innovations at the "Light of the Internet" showcase.
This processor further refines Hygon's computing power layout spanning cloud computing, edge processing, and on-site control. Zhao Xiaoming, General Manager of Hygon's Sales Support Department, explained that to meet the extreme demands of production sites for real-time performance, data security, and bandwidth cost, the newly released product adopts a multi-core low-power design that balances graphics computing power with wide-temperature adaptability, enabling comprehensive support for a rich array of industrial embedded applications.
Its application scenarios broadly cover process automation (PA), discrete automation (FA), instrumentation and embedded electronic systems, as well as industrial IoT and pan-industrial core domains, providing underlying computing power support for various demanding industrial scenarios.
For industrial on-site application scenarios, CPUs need to work in coordination with control systems, industry software, and equipment solutions. Centering on development and deployment needs, Hygon has built an embedded software ecosystem that supports common industrial protocols.
On this basis, the solutions showcased by Hygon cover equipment forms including controllers, edge servers, operation terminals, and security gateways, supporting applications such as on-site control, edge AI, and security protection. Through the coordination of software, hardware, and industry solutions, edge-side computing power can be brought closer to production tasks, serving the intelligent upgrading of industrial sites.
From edge-side chips to development tools, and then to control systems and industry solutions, Hygon is working with industry partners to advance the integration of computing power and industrial applications. With a more complete cloud-edge-device layout, it supports the intelligent upgrading of on-site equipment, allowing AI capabilities to penetrate deep into production processes and serve the real economy.
