The Chinese A-share market recorded its 10th trading session this year with total transaction value falling below the 2 trillion yuan threshold. Today's turnover came in at just 1.8443 trillion yuan, representing a contraction of 176.9 billion yuan compared with the previous trading day.
Cumulative data shows that since the beginning of 2026, there have been nine prior sessions where daily turnover failed to reach the 2 trillion yuan mark. Those dates include February 13, March 26, March 27, March 28, April 2, April 3, April 4, July 24, August 21, and August 25.
