Deep News07-21

Significant personnel changes across multiple divisions, including retail, corporate banking, and risk control, have recently been initiated at the head office level of CITIC Bank. According to media reports on July 20th, Vice President Xie Zhibin, who already oversees retail finance, wealth management, and related businesses, is set to additionally assume the role of General Manager of the Head Office Retail Finance Department. This marks the first time in nearly five years, since the retail structure was split in 2021, that a head office-level senior executive will directly lead the retail business department. Concurrently, the former General Manager of the Retail Finance Department, Zhao Tongwei, is slated to be transferred to become General Manager of the Head Office Private Banking Department and Wealth Management Department, consolidating leadership over the private banking and wealth management divisions. As some of these arrangements have not yet been officially disclosed by the bank, the specific appointment status is subject to subsequent official announcements.

Xie Zhibin, born in 1969 and holding a doctorate in economics, has served as Vice President of CITIC Bank since 2019 and additionally as Chairman of Baixin Bank since August 2025. He has long been responsible for the retail, credit card, and wealth management sectors. On July 15th, Xie Zhibin attended the bank's launch event for the "Ginkgo Dual Card" credit card, describing the product as a symbol of the realization of wealth management value and the integrated upgrade of retail business.

Furthermore, adjustments have been made in the corporate banking and middle/back-office divisions. Vice President Gu Lingyun will no longer concurrently serve as General Manager of the Corporate Finance Department, with that role being taken over by Yang Pan, the current General Manager of the Inclusive Finance Department. Gu Lingyun will continue to oversee the overall corporate banking business. Zhang Qing, who previously served concurrently as General Manager of the Risk Management Department, stepped down as Board Secretary on June 26th and was appointed as a Business Director, while retaining oversight of risk control. Vice President He Jinsong is proposed for a transfer to China CITIC Financial Asset Management Co., Ltd., with the internal announcement process already completed.

These adjustments follow CITIC Bank's achievement of surpassing ten trillion yuan in total assets at the beginning of the year. In the first quarter, the bank reported operating revenue of 54.649 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.23%, and net profit attributable to the parent company's shareholders of 20.098 billion yuan, up 3.02% year-on-year. This revenue growth rate turned positive compared to the full-year performance of the previous year. In 2025, the bank's annual increase in Assets Under Management (AUM) reached a historical high, with its balance ranking second among comparable peers for five consecutive years. Revenue from corporate banking business amounted to 98.829 billion yuan, accounting for 46.50% of total operating revenue.
