The 7th Global Autonomous Driving Conference was recently held in Suzhou, focusing on technological trends, regional policies, and collaborative pathways under the theme "Intelligent Connectivity, Driving the Future." CAOCAO INC (02643) CEO Gong Xin delivered a keynote speech titled "The Robotaxi Era Has Arrived: Seizing the Opportunity," announcing the imminent launch of Robotaxi 2.0.
Data suggests that by 2035, China alone is expected to have 1.9 million Robotaxis in operation, with a market size exceeding RMB 320 billion. Gong Xin shared unique insights into the emerging golden age of Robotaxis, emphasizing that advancements in multi-sensor fusion, BEV architecture, end-to-end systems, and large AI models will significantly enhance autonomous driving reliability. Once technological barriers are overcome, the challenge will shift from development to strategic execution.
Gong Xin outlined that autonomous driving technology is the threshold, while intelligent custom vehicles and ecosystem-driven operations will determine market leadership. He envisioned a future where shared mobility integrates both human-driven and autonomous vehicles, with ride-hailing platforms becoming highly centralized. Smart cabins will evolve into mobile living spaces and personal assistants, fostering new employment opportunities beyond traditional ride-hailing roles.
On February 28 this year, CAOCAO INC launched its "CAOCAO Smart Mobility" platform in Suzhou and Hangzhou, initiating Robotaxi 1.0 pilot operations. The platform has completed over 38,000 kilometers of autonomous road testing, leveraging Geely Holding Group's support to transition from strategic to tactical leadership.
Gong Xin confirmed the upcoming Robotaxi 2.0 release, targeting full autonomy, scalability, commercialization, and global expansion. Aligning with the conference's call for international collaboration in smart mobility, CAOCAO INC aims to pioneer safer, smarter, more efficient, and greener future transportation paradigms in the Robotaxi era.
