Deep News03-10

SK Hynix announced on Tuesday that it has developed an advanced LPDDR6 dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) product specifically designed for mobile devices equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The company stated that the 16Gb LPDDR6 DRAM, based on the sixth-generation 10-nanometer process technology, has completed its verification process after being showcased at CES 2026 in January 2026.

"SK Hynix plans to finalize mass production preparations in the first half of this year and begin product supply in the second half, thereby expanding our portfolio of traditional DRAM products optimized for AI applications," the chipmaker said in a statement.

SK Hynix indicated that the new product will be used in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets featuring on-device AI functions.

The company noted that compared to the previous generation, the new memory offers a 33% increase in data processing speed. Additionally, it will help consumers enjoy extended battery life and improved multitasking performance.
