KINGBOARD HLDG's stock soared 5.24% during intraday trading on Monday.
The surge follows the company's recent decision to increase prices for all its laminates and prepreg by 10%, amid a broader wave of price hikes in the copper clad laminate (CCL) industry. Rising downstream demand and increasing raw material costs have driven CCL manufacturers to initiate new rounds of price increases.
Analysts point to robust short- and medium-term demand for AI, which is driving both prices and volumes higher for printed circuit boards (PCBs). AI-related CCL demand is particularly strong, and with slow capacity expansion among overseas producers, leading mainland Chinese CCL manufacturers like Kingboard are expected to benefit significantly.
