Pudong New District held a promotion conference for the integrated innovation of the artificial intelligence industry on the morning of July 18th.

The event centered on six key areas: industrial layout, science and technology finance, core technologies, data elements, public livelihood scenarios, and service platforms.

A series of new policies, achievements, and institutions were unveiled, accelerating the effort to build a world-class artificial intelligence industrial cluster.

As the nation's first pilot zone for innovative AI applications, Pudong continues to leverage its three core strengths: institutional innovation breakthroughs, an attractive open environment, and integrated industrial ecosystems.

It is intensifying efforts to create a hub for global AI innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering more active R&D, gradually enriching application scenarios, and continuously optimizing the industrial ecosystem.

At this conference, Pudong focused on meeting the needs of AI enterprises by enhancing full-chain capabilities and providing comprehensive support.

It aims to further solidify the development foundation and build industrial advantages from the dimensions of policy, finance, platforms, scenarios, and data.

The Shanghai Humanoid Robot Pilot Service Platform was officially launched.

Located in the Zhangjiang Robot Valley, the platform establishes an integrated pilot service loop encompassing R&D and prototyping, precision assembly, comprehensive testing, and warehousing and delivery.

With an annual capacity to produce 2,000 complete units and 2,000 sets of core precision components, it will provide crucial support for Pudong's embodied AI industry, from R&D to mass production.

This will effectively reduce R&D and production line setup costs, accumulate standard processes and empirical data, and support the clustered development of related industries in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The construction plan for the Pudong AI + Biomedicine Industry Cluster Zone was formally released.

Building on Pudong's existing biopharmaceutical industry layout and linking with the Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town, the plan creates a spatially coordinated and intelligently integrated framework.

It focuses on three major fields: source innovation, new drug creation, and intelligent medical devices.

The initiative targets breakthroughs in 10 key directions, including intelligent analysis of new life science mechanisms, the entire innovative drug development process, and new paradigms for human-machine collaboration in intelligent medical devices.

The goal is to build a highland for AI + biopharmaceutical industry innovation and accelerate the establishment of an internationally influential AI + biopharmaceutical industrial cluster zone.

The Pudong AI Seed Fund, with a total target size of 2 billion yuan and an initial phase of 500 million yuan, released its annual results.

The seed fund continues to focus on early-stage technology projects, empowering startup teams with flexible venture capital mechanisms.

Over the past year since its establishment, the fund has invested in 61 projects, including 26 vertical model application projects, 14 embodied AI projects, 10 foundational platform projects, 6 intelligent terminal projects, and 5 brain-computer interface projects.

The total investment amount reached 223 million yuan, continuously stimulating vitality in source innovation.

The Shanghai Pudong New District Silver-Haired Technology Innovation Experimental Center and the Shanghai Pudong New District "Senior Care + Artificial Intelligence" Real-Scenario Laboratory were unveiled simultaneously.

These two specialized platforms focus on addressing the governance needs of super-aged metropolises, implementing real-scenario applications such as intelligent monitoring, age-friendly robots, and digital chronic disease management.

They aim to unlock the immense empowering potential of silver-age scenarios through benevolent AI applications.

The "White Paper on Empowering Pudong's Future Industries with Scientific Data" was released to the public.

Based on Pudong's inherent advantages in science and technology, industry, infrastructure, and institutions, the white paper focuses on how scientific data can empower the development of Pudong's future industries.

It systematically reviews phased achievements and provides pathways and strategic references for Pudong to further advance data-driven development of its future industries.

During the promotion conference, a keynote presentation was delivered, highlighting Pudong's AI initiatives.

The conference also announced Pudong's landmark achievements and emerging forces in artificial intelligence targeted for 2026.

Representatives from companies including Shanghai Sudo Technology Co., Ltd. and Sand.ai delivered speeches and shared insights.
