MAPLELEAF EDU Cancels 47.48 Million Shares, Reducing Issued Capital to 2.84 Billion

China Maple Leaf Educational Systems Limited (MAPLELEAF EDU) has released its Monthly Return for the period ended 31 July 2026, highlighting the following capital movements:

1. Share Cancellation Cuts Issued Capital • On 6 July 2026, 47.48 million ordinary shares—previously repurchased on the market between 1 December 2025 and 5 February 2026—were formally cancelled. • Issued shares (excluding treasury shares) declined 1.64 % month-on-month to 2.84 billion, from 2.89 billion at the end of June. • No treasury shares were held at month-end.

2. Authorised Share Capital Steady • Authorised share capital remained unchanged at 8.00 billion ordinary shares with a par value of USD 0.0005 each, representing total authorised capital of USD 4.00 million.

3. Expiry of Share Options • The Post-IPO Share Option Scheme adopted on 10 November 2014 expired on 10 November 2024. • All 7.40 million outstanding options reported at the end of June lapsed during July, leaving no outstanding options and no new shares issued under the scheme. No funds were raised from option exercises.

4. Compliance with Public Float Rules • The company confirmed that it met the Main Board’s minimum public float requirement of 25 % as at 31 July 2026.

With the cancellation of repurchased shares and the expiration of all outstanding options, MAPLELEAF EDU enters August 2026 with a leaner share base of 2.84 billion ordinary shares while maintaining full compliance with Hong Kong listing regulations.
