Preliminary data from China Yangtze Power Co.,Ltd. (600900.SH) indicates a mixed picture for water inflow during the first half of 2026.
The inflow to the Wudongde Reservoir totaled approximately 33.196 billion cubic meters, representing a decrease of 16.94% compared to the same period last year.
In contrast, the inflow to the Three Gorges Reservoir was approximately 174.49 billion cubic meters, marking an increase of 28.74% year-on-year.
Despite the varied water conditions, the company's total power generation from its six domestic cascade hydropower stations reached roughly 132.744 billion kilowatt-hours in the first six months, reflecting a 4.81% rise from the previous year.
For the second quarter alone, the total power output from these stations was approximately 70.919 billion kilowatt-hours, up 2.82% compared to the same quarter in the prior year.
