Singapore has authorized Grab Holdings to introduce cross-border ride-hailing services between Singapore and Malaysia. This move is part of efforts by both countries to enhance connectivity and provides commuters using one of the world's busiest land border crossings with more transportation options. In a statement released on Thursday, Singapore's Land Transport Authority announced that GrabCar Private Limited has been awarded the first license to operate cross-border ride-hailing services, valid for three years. Operators are required to meet requirements related to enhanced cross-border insurance and vehicle registration verification, and are strictly prohibited from accepting unauthorized domestic point-to-point passenger services.
