On April 8, it was announced by the Natural Resources Bureau of Chifeng that the cultivated land reserve project in Darhan Gacha, Xin Sumu, Ongniud Banner, Chifeng City, has passed inspection and been officially included in the reserve database. This marks the first project incorporated into the non-agricultural construction supplementary cultivated land reserve since the implementation of the regional cultivated land balance reform. The success of this initiative demonstrates Chifeng's role as a pioneer in standardizing the development of supplementary cultivated land reserves across the region.
Currently, the process of verifying and incorporating supplementary cultivated land into the regional reserve is still in a critical phase of refining procedures and standards. Faced with challenges such as unclear processes and insufficiently detailed criteria, the Natural Resources Bureau of Chifeng took proactive measures. It strengthened coordination with the regional Department of Natural Resources, enhanced collaboration between city and banner levels, and strictly adhered to policy guidelines to systematically resolve procedural bottlenecks and operational difficulties, ensuring the project advanced in compliance with regulations.
According to verification by the regional Department of Natural Resources, the first batch of non-agricultural supplementary cultivated land reserves in Ongniud Banner covers an area of 315.4108 hectares, with reliable scale and quality that meets all standards.
The successful inclusion of this project has not only alleviated the shortage of cultivated land balance indicators for major construction projects in Chifeng and its banner-level regions, providing solid support for key project land use, but has also established a practical, replicable, and scalable working model. This offers valuable "Chifeng experience" for other leagues, cities, and banners in the region to standardize the construction of cultivated land reserves, control inclusion criteria, and overcome operational challenges.
