Shares of diversified utility company CenterPoint Energy (CNP) rose 1.8% in early trading Monday, after the firm projected potential power outages affecting 100,000 to 200,000 customers during a storm. However, the company stated that the majority of affected users would have their electricity restored within 12 hours of an outage.
