J&T Express and CATL Forge Strategic Alliance to Develop Green Supply Chain System and Promote New Energy Logistics Equipment

Deep News07-02

J&T Express and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.,Ltd. (CATL) have entered into a strategic partnership agreement, signed in Ningde, Fujian on June 30th. The collaboration is founded on principles of resource complementarity and technological synergy, with a focus on the "new energy + logistics" sector. The partnership aims to jointly build a green supply chain system and advance the large-scale, standardized, and intelligent implementation of new energy logistics equipment, establishing a new paradigm for green transformation and high-quality development within the logistics industry.

Leveraging J&T Express's extensive logistics network and diverse transportation scenarios, combined with CATL's formidable capabilities in power batteries and new energy solutions, the two companies will progressively introduce new energy logistics equipment such as heavy-duty trucks, light logistics vehicles, and electric warehouse forklifts. This initiative will cover all stages from long-haul logistics and urban distribution to warehouse operations. J&T Express has already deployed over 1,000 unmanned logistics vehicles, and the electrification of its logistics fleet represents a key early-stage implementation scenario for the partnership.

CATL will provide a complete suite of battery-swapping batteries, swap station equipment, and operation and maintenance services for more than 5,000 heavy-duty trucks in J&T Express's fleet. The battery-swapping model enables these trucks to be fully recharged within 3 to 5 minutes, significantly reducing energy replenishment time.

Furthermore, aligned with the "dual carbon" goals, J&T Express and CATL will collaborate to create benchmark scenarios that deeply integrate green logistics and new energy, with a focus on logistics parks and industrial parks. They plan to jointly establish a series of zero-carbon demonstration projects within these parks, exploring the practical application of market-based mechanisms such as green certificates, green power, and carbon sinks in the logistics sector. This effort aims to transform isolated carbon reduction experiences into replicable models. Supporting activities will include promotional campaigns themed "Green Logistics, Zero-Carbon Future" to foster ecosystem development for green logistics.

This agreement signifies a new phase of collaboration between the two companies in areas including new energy electrification tools, logistics automation, and low-carbon development. Moving forward, they intend to continuously deepen their cooperation, explore more innovative scenarios, and jointly build an efficient, intelligent, and green logistics ecosystem, injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the express delivery industry.

J&T Express is a global integrated logistics service operator, with a delivery network spanning 13 countries including Indonesia, China, and Saudi Arabia, handling 30.13 billion parcels in 2025. CATL is a globally leading new energy technology company. This partnership represents not only a deep integration of their respective resources but also a tangible practice of applying new energy solutions on a large scale within logistics scenarios.
