Stock News01-19

UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880) saw its shares climb more than 5%. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 5.41%, trading at HK$140.4, with a turnover of HK$369 million.

On the news front, on January 18, UBTECH announced that it had signed a humanoid robot service agreement with European aviation giant Airbus.

Airbus has procured UBTECH's latest industrial-grade humanoid robot, the Walker S2, for deployment in its manufacturing facilities, with the two parties set to jointly explore the application of humanoid robots in aviation manufacturing scenarios.

This collaboration with Airbus signifies that, following its strategic partnership with US semiconductor giant Texas Instruments last year, UBTECH is progressively expanding the application of its humanoid robots from Chinese industrial settings to five major global scenarios: aviation manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, 3C electronics manufacturing, smart logistics, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Notably, UBTECH's total order value for humanoid robots exceeded 1.4 billion yuan in 2025, leading the global market.

By 2026, UBTECH's annual production capacity for industrial humanoid robots is projected to reach a scale of tens of thousands of units.

Beyond the domestic Chinese market, UBTECH has also begun gradually expanding the deployment of its humanoid robots into overseas manufacturing markets, including Europe and the United States.
