On the evening of January 2, Hua Chenyu's 2026 Mars Concert commenced at the Guangxi Sports Center Stadium. For this performance, Hua Chenyu's team debuted their "Mars"四面台 stage for the first time in Nanning. This musical feast, blending diverse music genres with heartwarming interactions, provided an ultimate audiovisual experience for tens of thousands of fans present, serving as a special ceremony to welcome the new year together.
The stage production for the Nanning stop maintained a high standard, achieving precise alignment between the visual presentation and musical expression for each song. The stage design integrated classic Chinese elements with modern technology, combining cultural symbols such as calligraphy brushstrokes with stage installations to enhance the artistic impact of the performance.
According to the concert organizer, the stage utilized sophisticated mechanical systems and lighting coordination to create a 360-degree immersive viewing space. During the show, lighting effects shifted seamlessly with the musical styles, such as the energy vortex visuals for tracks like "Black and White Artist" and "Sevenfold Personality," and the concrete imagery constructed for "Warm House," all perfectly matching the songs'意境.
Furthermore, the new winter version stage design for "Sea of Wind," featuring a dreamy ice and snow world and lively animal elements, added significant visual surprises to the live performance.
In terms of cultural heritage, Hua Chenyu also incorporated intangible cultural heritage elements into the Mars Concert. During the Nanning performance, while performing the song "Bizarre Psychology," the band members appeared on stage wearing traditional Zhuang ethnic attire, deeply integrating ethnic customs with rock melodies, transforming the concert into a vibrant bridge for传递 Zhuang ethnic traditions.
A representative from Hua Chenyu's team stated that integrating intangible cultural heritage into the concert was not a spur-of-the-moment decision but a reflection of the team's sense of responsibility towards the innovative inheritance of traditional Chinese culture. They hope that through musical expression and stage presentation, more people will come to understand traditional Chinese culture.
During the three-hour performance, Hua Chenyu effortlessly navigated diverse musical styles, seamlessly switching between rock and抒情 ballads. Leveraging his excellent composition and arrangement skills, he skillfully blended traditional Chinese instruments like the琵琶 and古筝 with Western instruments such as the banjo and Irish flute. When Hua Chenyu performed the song "Advent," Chinese and Western musicians appeared together, playing in unison, which thrilled the现场 fans.
To thank his fans, on New Year's Day, Hua Chenyu gifted them the music video for "Ship of Theseus" as his first New Year's present. He also livestreamed the concert rehearsal and extended New Year's greetings. During an interactive segment of the performance, Hua Chenyu announced to the audience that the next stop of the Mars Concert would be held in Shenzhen, noting that February 7th is also his birthday, which filled fans with anticipation.
It is reported that the final stop of Hua Chenyu's 2026 Mars Concert will be held at the Shenzhen Universiade Center Sports Arena, with performances scheduled for February 6th to 8th.
