Fire Incident at Tianqi Lithium's Australian Subsidiary's Third-Stage Chemical-Grade Spodumene Plant

Tianqi Lithium Corporation (SZSE: 002466) has issued an announcement regarding a fire incident at one of its subsidiary's facilities.

The company reported that on the afternoon of June 9, 2026, it received notice from its controlling subsidiary, Talison Lithium Pty Ltd, that a localized fire had broken out at its third-stage chemical-grade spodumene plant in Australia during a maintenance period.

The fire in the affected area was promptly and effectively extinguished. All personnel on site were safely evacuated, and there were no reports of injuries.

While some individual pieces of equipment at the plant were damaged, the main equipment and production lines were not affected.

Following the incident, Talison immediately activated its emergency response plan and has commenced an investigation into the event.

As of the time of the announcement's disclosure, Talison is in the process of assessing the losses caused by the incident, its impact, and the work required for repairs.
