Lightelligence (XIZHI TECH-P) Publishes Inaugural 2025 ESG Report, Targets 15% Cut in Power-Use Intensity and Posts RMB 479 Million R&D Spend

Shanghai-based optoelectronic computing specialist Lightelligence (listed as XIZHI TECH-P, 01879) has released its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, detailing performance and targets for the year ended 31 December 2025.

Board-Level Oversight • The Board assumes ultimate responsibility for ESG strategy, supported by senior management and functional working groups. • ESG performance will be reported to the Board at least once a year.

Environmental Performance and Targets • Total purchased electricity in 2025: 1,975.70 MWh; electricity-use intensity stood at 7.69 MWh per employee. • Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions reached 1,048.31 tCO₂e, or 4.08 tCO₂e per employee; Scope 3 emissions (fuel- and energy-related activities plus office waste) were 343.41 tCO₂e. • From an FY24 baseline, the company aims to lower electricity-use intensity by 5% before 2027 and by 15% before 2030. • No breaches of environmental regulations were recorded; waste generation totalled 76.39 tonnes of non-hazardous waste (0.30 t per employee). • Climate scenario analysis (IPCC SSP1-2.6 and SSP5-8.5) identified acute extreme-weather and chronic high-temperature risks; mitigation plans include emergency protocols and energy-efficiency upgrades.

Social Indicators • Workforce: 257 full-time employees, 73% male and 27% female; overall turnover rate 12%. • Health & Safety: zero work-related fatalities or lost-time injuries in 2025; annual health checks and fire-safety drills conducted. • Training: 2,134 hours delivered (8.30 hours per employee); senior and middle managers averaged 11.67 and 11.28 hours respectively. • Community engagement featured a “Technology Open Day” for university students.

Innovation and Intellectual Property • R&D expenditure reached RMB 479.00 million, underpinning launches such as the PACE 2 optoelectronic accelerator card (40,000 photonic devices, 128 × 128 matrix) and LightSphere X optical interconnect GPU supernode, winner of the 2025 WAIC SAIL Award. • R&D headcount totalled 174, with 67.2% holding postgraduate degrees. • Cumulative patent portfolio expanded to 410 filings; a tiered patent-incentive scheme supports ongoing IP generation.

Supply-Chain Governance • Supplier base: 434 vendors, including 412 in China and 22 overseas. • A tiered assessment system covers quality, cost, delivery, service and ESG factors; non-performing or inactive suppliers face downgrading or suspension.

Corporate Governance and Compliance • No incidents of corruption, bribery, money-laundering or data breaches were reported. • All employees sign anti-corruption undertakings; whistle-blowing channels and regular training are in place. • Information Security Policy mandates encryption, network isolation and periodic audits; privacy guidelines are embedded in employment protocols.

Lightelligence positions optoelectronic computing as a driver of low-carbon digital infrastructure and commits to integrating sustainability across its technology roadmap, operations and value chain in the coming years.
