Stock Track05-07

Sunrun's stock surged 5.22% during the overnight session following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations.

The residential solar provider reported earnings of $0.62 per share, beating the consensus estimate of a loss of $0.01 per share by a remarkable 6300%. Revenue also outperformed, coming in at $722.2 million, a 43% year-over-year increase that surpassed the $681.9 million estimate by 5.91%.

This strong quarterly performance, which included net income attributable to common stockholders of $167.6 million, appears to have driven investor optimism and the subsequent price increase. The company's storage attachment rate reached a record 73%, though subscriber additions declined 25% to 17,665.
