Alphabet (GOOGL.US) announced on Tuesday that it will broaden the application of its Personal Intelligence technology across various products in the United States, following the initial unveiling of the plan earlier this year in January. The technology giant stated in an official blog post that its Gemini artificial intelligence tool will see expanded implementation, with its widely-used search service incorporating an AI mode. Additionally, the tool is now accessible to free-tier users of the Gemini application and within the Chrome browser. The company explained in the post, "Personal Intelligence was designed from the start to assist you based on your needs," adding, "It combines more relevant insights with transparency, choice, and control. The goal is simple: to make technology feel like a natural extension of how you get things done." In January, Alphabet had already introduced Personal Intelligence into services such as Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search.
