Tmall's 618 Shopping Festival Set to Launch on May 21st

Tmall has announced the schedule for its 618 Grand Promotion, which will run from May to June. The platform will increase investment in two major S+ promotional events: the 520 Confession Season and the 618 festival. Notably, the 618 sale will commence with a presale period starting on May 21st.

In terms of timing, the 520 Confession Season will take place from May 13th to May 20th. The 618 Grand Promotion will begin on May 21st, with the first wave of presale deposits accepted from May 21st to May 26th, and the final payment period running from May 27th to June 3rd.

Regarding promotional mechanics, both S+ events will feature direct discounts offered by the platform. Throughout the campaign cycle, Tmall will distribute significant consumer vouchers, supplemented by additional platform coupons, limited-time store red envelopes, and Taobao Coins. For the 520 vouchers, merchants are encouraged to focus on "gifting" strategies and building momentum for the 618 sale. The 618 vouchers will be further enhanced, and sellers are advised to prepare ample inventory for popular items and ensure adequate customer service support.
