卡特彼勒指出，该公司一季度营收增长的主要原因是，终端用户对设备和服务的需求提升，经销商提高了库存，并且产品价格富有竞争力。
该公司第一季度末，企业现金为65亿美元。卡特彼勒在一季度支付了约13亿美元的短期激励薪酬。此外，卡特彼勒还回购了8亿美元的普通股，支付股息6亿美元。
