In the afternoon, Lei Binyi followed up with another post, stating she had taken some time to watch the movie, liked the quote, and simply captured and shared it. She emphasized there was no need for excessive interpretation.
On the afternoon of May 11, Wuyou Media released a statement on social platforms regarding the termination of its contract with Ms. Wang Nuannuan. The announcement indicated that, following amicable discussions, Wuyou Media and Ms. Wang Nuannuan formally ended their contract on May 11, 2026. After Ms. Wang Nuannuan proactively proposed the termination, the company deliberated and agreed. Apart from projects already undertaken and currently in progress, which will continue as agreed, the comprehensive cooperative relationship between both parties was officially terminated from that date.
On the evening of May 11, Ms. Wang Nuannuan (online handle @王暖暖summer) issued a personal statement: "Through friendly negotiations with Wuyou Media, we have reached a consensus and completed the contract termination procedures."
According to reports, some netizens questioned whether Wang Nuannuan's decision to go independent was to regain control of her account. Wang Nuannuan clarified that when she signed with the brokerage firm in 2023, she already had 2.6 million followers, and the contract stipulated that the account always belonged to her personally. The original contract was set to expire in June 2026, and this negotiated termination did not involve any disputes over account ownership with Wuyou Media.
