Stock News07-30

MOMENTA-W (06880) shares continued their upward momentum, rising more than 4% in early trading. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 3.78% to 280.2 Hong Kong dollars, with a trading volume of 18.41 million Hong Kong dollars.

On the news front, on July 29, Momenta announced it had officially received approval from Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) to conduct Level 4 autonomous driving tests on urban roads across the country. This marks the first time a Chinese company has obtained nationwide L4 testing qualifications for German city roads, and is widely viewed by the market as a strategic move to fully pave the way for Uber's European projects.

Public information reveals that Uber, through its wholly-owned subsidiary SMB, acquired 397,600 shares in Momenta's Hong Kong stock placement. Additionally, according to Momenta's earlier prospectus, SMB had participated in the company's Series C financing round completed in September 2025, holding 791,055 preferred shares. As a result, Uber now holds a total of approximately 1,188,700 shares in Momenta, expanding their relationship from a pure business partnership to a combination of "business collaboration and equity investment."
