Kintor Pharma-B (09939) announced that its self-developed, potential first-in-class drug candidate, KX-826, presented data from two significant clinical studies at the 14th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR 2026) held in Seoul, South Korea, from May 28 to 31, 2026.
The first presentation featured the final analysis results from a Phase III clinical trial investigating KX-826 Tincture 1.0% for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (AGA, or hair loss) in adult Chinese males. The trial's principal investigator, Professor Zhou Cheng from Peking University People's Hospital, presented the data in the main conference hall. The overall results demonstrated that KX-826 exhibited excellent efficacy and safety in treating patients with hair loss. Furthermore, the Phase III trial results were selected for the WCHR 2026 Outstanding Poster award.
The second presentation involved data from a clinical observational study on the combination therapy of KX-826 with minoxidil for adult Chinese males with hair loss. This study, led by Professor Jiang Leiwei and others, provides a solid foundation for future Phase III clinical trials exploring the KX-826 and minoxidil combination therapy.
The World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR) is the most influential academic conference in the global hair research field, held biennially. It offers a unique platform for participants to delve into the latest findings from recent clinical trials and experimental research.
Kintor Pharma is actively advancing the New Drug Application for KX-826. Upon approval, KX-826 is poised to become a first-in-class topical innovative drug, addressing a significant unmet clinical need in the current hair loss treatment landscape. It has the potential to break the decades-long therapeutic paradigm dominated solely by minoxidil and finasteride.
