Fengtai District Enhances Public Welfare Through Grassroots Reporting System

Deep News11-22

Residents' voices are heard and addressed in Fengtai District, where an innovative "Street Office Reporting to the Public" mechanism has been established to bridge the gap in public services. This initiative ensures that street offices actively listen and respond to community concerns, transforming public feedback into tangible actions.

In Yun Gang Street's Zhangjiafen Village, the smart agricultural park is thriving. "Look at these space peppers—they're growing so well! We'll have more welfare benefits by year-end," exclaimed Aunt Li, a local resident, while harvesting green peppers. This scene reflects Fengtai's efforts to tackle rural economic challenges through public reporting.

Addressing weak economic foundations and industrial stagnation, multiple street offices have turned commitments from public meetings into concrete actions. Yun Gang Street, for instance, adopted a "transportation + industry + cultural tourism" strategy. With the upcoming Metro Line 1 branch and the 90,000-square-meter Dongfeng Town project, the village aims to boost collective income and revitalize resources like the Zhenggang Pagoda cultural IP. The smart agriculture park, equipped with advanced technology, has increased yields by 30%, with branded peppers directly supplying urban supermarkets.

Lu Gou Qiao Street shifted from rental-dependent "tile economy" to high-value-added development by establishing a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) industrial park. Spanning 91,800 square meters, the park integrates medical, research, office, and residential spaces, attracting 15 enterprises and over 100 potential tenants. It also fosters cross-regional TCM industry chains through university collaborations.

Hua Xiang Street tackled debt issues head-on. Bao Tai Village resolved outstanding debts and launched an industrial incubator, attracting nine tech and service-oriented firms. Dedicated support teams now assist with business registration and tax services, revitalizing the local economy.

Wang Zuo Town nurtured high-growth enterprises like Beijing Shihang Intelligent Technology, which specializes in marine robotics and secured multi-million-yuan funding. The town also promotes cultural tourism, leveraging its 40,000-acre forest coverage to develop attractions like Nangong AAAA Scenic Area and Qinglong Lake Park. Future plans include upscale homestays and agritourism complexes to further boost collective income.

Through these measures, Fengtai District demonstrates how grassroots reporting can drive economic revitalization and enhance public welfare.
