BSE Third-Quarter Reports Near Finale as Specialized and Innovative Firms Gain Traction

Deep News10-29 11:40

Disclosure of 2026 third-quarter reports by companies listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange has entered a peak period.

As of October 28, 219 companies had released their results for the first three quarters, with more than 70% of them posting year-on-year revenue growth, and 97 companies achieving simultaneous increases in both revenue and net profit.

Overall, the companies with the largest revenue scales are mostly concentrated in sectors such as construction machinery, bulk chemicals, and electronics manufacturing. Thirty companies reported operating revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan in the first three quarters, while 25 companies saw net profit attributable to parent company shareholders surpass 100 million yuan.

A group of specialized and innovative enterprises deeply engaged in niche tracks delivered particularly standout performances, each with different drivers of growth: some benefited from a reversal in industry cycles, where rising raw material prices pushed up product prices, low-end capacity was cleared out, and leading companies saw both market share and pricing power rise in tandem, further supported by low-cost inventory and advance price locking that lowered production costs; some gained from a surge in downstream equipment orders; and others relied on repair of their own profitability, with order growth, ample raw material stockpiling, and reduced inventory write-downs for falling prices jointly driving profit levels higher.

It is worth noting that among companies whose net profit more than doubled year-on-year, the vast majority maintained positive revenue growth, meaning the profit surge was not merely a low-base effect but a substantive realization of pricing power, product mix improvement, or release of downstream demand.

Judging from the latest disclosed lists of top ten shareholders, BSE 50 index funds are becoming relatively active marginal buyers in the market, with BSE 50 and index-enhanced products under multiple leading public fund managers appearing densely on the shareholder lists of many companies.

Market participants analyze that such funds are mainly passively allocated, and combined with allocation demand brought by continuous improvement in BSE liquidity, although their differentiation in screening individual stock fundamentals is relatively limited, they objectively provide funding support for high-performing small- and mid-cap targets.

In addition, several companies received increased or newly established holdings from public funds in the third quarter, with institutional ownership in one company rising by nearly 4 percentage points compared with the previous quarter.

Shareholder returns are also warming up. Buyback special securities accounts appeared on the shareholder lists of companies such as Shisheng Intelligent, Haineng Technology, and Jinbo Bio, among which Shisheng Intelligent showed both "buyback + quarterly dividend" simultaneously.

On the evening of October 28, several companies including Wuhan Landian, Kerun Zhikong, Fangzheng Valve, and Wanda Bearing disclosed cash dividend plans, with expected cash payouts for individual companies ranging from more than 10 million yuan to several tens of millions of yuan, as cash dividends are becoming a regular choice for BSE companies to reward shareholders.

As BSE-listed companies disclose their third-quarter reports one after another, broad revenue growth, solid profit realization, entry of institutional funds, and increased dividends and buybacks have delivered a series of impressive results, showcasing the growth trajectory of the group of specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
