MONGOLIA ENERGY (00276) announced that it expects the group's gross profit for the six months ending September 30, 2025, to be no more than HK$85 million, compared to approximately HK$641 million in the same period of the 2024 fiscal year. The substantial decline in gross profit is primarily attributed to weak demand and persistently low prices for coking coal in China during the financial period.
Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the average selling price (net of sales tax) of coking coal and sales volume decreased by 40% and 15%, respectively, during the financial period.
