Protecting intellectual property is synonymous with fostering innovation. Qimen County has set its sights on the high-quality development of the electronics and electrical appliance industry, focusing on cluster-based growth and strengthening supply chains to simultaneously expand industrial scale and improve quality. The goal is to accelerate the formation of a distinctive and dynamic industrial ecosystem.
DCB copper-clad ceramic substrates, a core material in the power semiconductor sector, play a pivotal role in supporting strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and smart grids. Anhui Taoxinke Semiconductor New Materials Co., Ltd., based in the Qimen County Economic Development Zone, has made breakthroughs in the core technology of sintering furnaces for DCB substrate production. During this process, the Qimen County Market Supervision Agency proactively engaged with the company, addressing its needs in technological innovation.
To resolve challenges such as unclear patent strategies and unfamiliarity with application procedures, agency personnel guided the company in establishing a synchronized R&D-patent mechanism. This approach ensured timely protection of innovations and clarified intellectual property pathways for technological advancements. Key focus areas included optimizing sintering furnace structures, innovating energy-saving mechanisms, and implementing dust-free production processes.
Recognizing the limited intellectual property resources at the county level, the Qimen County Market Supervision Agency facilitated connections with the Anhui Intellectual Property Protection Center, securing fast-track patent pre-examination channels for the company. Post-authorization, the agency continued to monitor progress, promoting the practical application of patented technologies.
To support the company’s financing and expansion needs, the agency collaborated with financial institutions and industrial park authorities to highlight Taoxinke’s patent advantages to local investors in Huangshan. This effort successfully secured RMB 30 million in financing, enabling the expansion of DCB substrate production.
To date, five out of six invention patents submitted by Taoxinke through the fast-track channel have been granted. The implementation of these patented technologies has led to technological breakthroughs, improved efficiency, and enhanced energy-saving and environmental benefits.
