On the afternoon of April 2, Anhui Provincial Party Secretary Liang Yanshun and Governor Wang Qingxian held a working meeting in Hefei with Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of Byd Company Limited, and his delegation. Provincial leader Fei Gaoyun also attended.
Liang Yanshun, on behalf of the Anhui Provincial Committee and Government, welcomed Wang Chuanfu and his delegation. He stated that in recent years, BYD has invested in and deepened its presence in Anhui, providing strong support for the province's high-quality development, particularly in the rapid growth of its automotive industry. He expressed hope that BYD would deploy more new technologies and products in Anhui, deepening cooperation in areas such as vehicle production, battery research and development, and megawatt-level flash charging applications, to better achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits. He affirmed that Anhui will optimize services and guarantees to create favorable conditions for the company's development.
Wang Chuanfu noted that Anhui's automotive industry is developing rapidly and offers a favorable business environment. He stated that BYD will increase its investment and layout efforts, promote the quality and efficiency of project construction, and actively contribute to building a better Anhui.
Wang Chuanfu is originally from Wuwei, Anhui. On October 22, 2024, Liang Yanshun had previously held a working meeting with Wang Chuanfu in Wuwei City, expressing hope that BYD would leverage its strengths as a leading enterprise to further expand its investment scale in Anhui, increase R&D investment, accelerate project implementation, and deepen industrial chain cooperation for higher-level mutual benefit.
Wang Chuanfu once remarked, "Anhui Province is a place full of charm. BYD has achieved leapfrog development within Anhui's excellent industrial environment."
